Christian chats with 98 Rock DJ Matt Davis about the upcoming acoustic EP, Stripped, the new partnership it COLDCOCK Whiskey, and the brand new music video for "Exit Sign."

Mid-Atlantic Rock Reviews chats with us backstage before a show. We discuss our album Every Moment, our music video, and more.

The acoustic counterpart EP forEvery Moment, entitled Stripped, is nearing completion, with an anticipated release date in Spring 2014.  

The EP features acoustic versions of the songs that appear on Every Moment, and is being produced by Keith Thompson and Christian Rivera, and engineered by Toby Valmas at Lion City Studio in Baldwin, Maryland.

From the day we wrote the song "Exit Sign," we've always envisioned having a cool video to go along with it.  But whenever we talked about it, we always got stuck on probably the two most important questions: what kind of concept would it have?  And who would direct it?  In fact, even in the midst of production there were changes to the concept.

After months of debating a TON of different concepts and ideas, we, along with our chosen director, Edgar Nazario, decided to keep it simple and to the point.  For our very first music video, we wanted to capture the passion and raw emotion that drives our music.  Nothing more.  Nothing less. 

We'd like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge and thank Edgar Nazario for his hard work and dedication to this project, and Robert Burchell for letting us use his club, The Circuit, in Essex, Maryland, for our video shoot.

Also a very big shout out to everyone who came out to the shoot and made it such a memorable experience (you know who you are), and of course, all of our family, friends, and fans around the world. We would not be able to do this without your support!

Jim Kaufman and I became friends while our then bands, Bleed the Dream and Opiate for the Masses, respectively, were on the road together for the Taste of Chaos and Vans Warped Tours.  My first glimpse of him was of a fiery and energetic guitarist with long ass dread locks!  Little did I know that he was the main songwriter and producer for his band and other Los Angeles bands.  

Jim has turned out remixes by Awolnation, Helmet, and Funeral for a Friend, among others, and now, for Fatally Yours.  We are so happy and honored that Jim would take the time to crank out our first ever remix.  Enjoy it!!

Fatally Yours has entered the studio to begin work on a counterpart EP forEvery Moment, entitled Stripped, to be released in early 2014.  The EP features acoustic versions of the songs that appear on Every Moment.  

"We wanted to bring it back to the basics on this one.  All of the songs began in the most basic, stripped down form, and we wanted to experiment with that.  This record is all about vibe," comments lead guitar player, Christian Rivera.

Fatally Yours recently took the stage at one of Central Michigan's largest music festivals this past weekend.  An estimated crowd of about 16,000 screaming fans came through through the gates at the Rockapalooza Festival (held in Jackson, Michigan) at 10 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in what was to become the largest Rockapalooza to date.

Fatally Yours took the stage alongside acts such as Candlebox, Saliva, 12 Stones, Hed PE, Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace), Taproot, and many other talented acts from all around the country.  Fatally Yours band members and crew would like to personally and publicly thank Tim Corser, Chris Kurtz, and The Mediatwist Group, without whom, none of this would have been possible.
